Biography

Jake Horner is the Field Operations Manager for the Radiation Portal Monitor Project (DHS), providing leadership and oversight for the deployment of engineered systems for nuclear material detection and interdiction at US Ports of Entry. Prior to this role, Jake supported a number of geological investigations focused on the demonstration of environmental remediation technologies, geological carbon sequestration, geothermal resource characterization, compressed air energy storage and production of natural gas from hydrate bearing geologic media.

Before coming to PNNL in 2008, Jake was a well site geologist at GRAM Inc., where he provided characterization and construction oversight for wells drilled at the U.S. DOE Hanford site.
